1. 1 Al-Haaqqa 69:1

   اَلْحَٓاقَّةُۙ

   Transliteration

   Alḥāqqatu

   Translation

   The Inevitable Reality -

2. 2 Al-Haaqqa 69:2

   مَا الْحَٓاقَّةُۚ

   Transliteration

   Mā alḥāqqatu

   Translation

   What is the Inevitable Reality?

3. 3 Al-Haaqqa 69:3

   وَمَٓا اَدْرٰيكَ مَا الْحَٓاقَّةُؕ

   Transliteration

   Wamā adrāka mā alḥāqqatu

   Translation

   And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality?

4. 4 Al-Haaqqa 69:4

   كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ بِالْقَارِعَةِ

   Transliteration

   Kaththabat thamoodu waʿādun bialqāriʿati

   Translation

   Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity.

5. 5 Al-Haaqqa 69:5

   فَاَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَاُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ

   Transliteration

   Faammā thamoodu faohlikoo bialṭṭāghiyati

   Translation

   So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].

6. 6 Al-Haaqqa 69:6

   وَاَمَّا عَادٌ فَاُهْلِكُوا بِرٖيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍۙ

   Transliteration

   Waammā ʿādun faohlikoo bireeḥin ṣarṣarin ʿātiyatin

   Translation

   And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind

7. 7 Al-Haaqqa 69:7

   سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ اَيَّامٍۙ حُسُوماً فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فٖيهَا صَرْعٰىۙ كَاَنَّهُمْ اَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍۚ

   Transliteration

   Sakhkharahā ʿalayhim sabʿa layālin wathamāniyata ayyāmin ḥusooman fatarā alqawma feehā ṣarʿā kaannahum aʿjāzu nakhlin khāwiyatun

   Translation

   Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.

8. 8 Al-Haaqqa 69:8

   فَهَلْ تَرٰى لَهُمْ مِنْ بَاقِيَةٍ

   Transliteration

   Fahal tarā lahum min bāqiyatin

   Translation

   Then do you see of them any remains?

9. 9 Al-Haaqqa 69:9

   وَجَٓاءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَنْ قَبْلَهُ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِۚ

   Transliteration

   Wajāa firʿawnu waman qablahu waalmutafikātu bialkhāṭiati

   Translation

   And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.

10. 10 Al-Haaqqa 69:10

    فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَخَذَهُمْ اَخْذَةً رَابِيَةً

    Transliteration

    Faʿaṣaw rasoola rabbihim faakhathahum akhthatan rābiyatan

    Translation

    And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity].

11. 11 Al-Haaqqa 69:11

    اِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا الْمَٓاءُ حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِۙ

    Transliteration

    Innā lammā ṭaghā almāo ḥamalnākum fee aljāriyati

    Translation

    Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship

12. 12 Al-Haaqqa 69:12

    لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَٓا اُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ

    Transliteration

    Linajʿalahā lakum tathkiratan wataʿiyahā othunun wāʿiyatun

    Translation

    That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.

13. 13 Al-Haaqqa 69:13

    فَاِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌۙ

    Transliteration

    Faithā nufikha fee alṣṣoori nafkhatun wāḥidatun

    Translation

    Then when the Horn is blown with one blast

14. 14 Al-Haaqqa 69:14

    وَحُمِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَاحِدَةً

    Transliteration

    Waḥumilati alarḏu waaljibālu fadukkatā dakkatan wāḥidatan

    Translation

    And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow -

15. 15 Al-Haaqqa 69:15

    فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُۙ

    Transliteration

    Fayawmaithin waqaʿati alwāqiʿatu

    Translation

    Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,

16. 16 Al-Haaqqa 69:16

    وَانْشَقَّتِ السَّمَٓاءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌۙ

    Transliteration

    Wainshaqqati alssamāo fahiya yawmaithin wāhiyatun

    Translation

    And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.

17. 17 Al-Haaqqa 69:17

    وَالْمَلَكُ عَلٰٓى اَرْجَٓائِهَاؕ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌؕ

    Transliteration

    Waalmalaku ʿalā arjāihā wayaḥmilu ʿarsha rabbika fawqahum yawmaithin thamāniyatun

    Translation

    And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].

18. 18 Al-Haaqqa 69:18

    يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفٰى مِنْكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ

    Transliteration

    Yawmaithin tuʿraḏoona lā takhfā minkum khāfiyatun

    Translation

    That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed.

19. 19 Al-Haaqqa 69:19

    فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُو۫تِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمٖينِهٖ فَيَقُولُ هَٓاؤُ۬مُ اقْرَؤُ۫ا كِتَابِيَهْۚ

    Transliteration

    Faammā man ootiya kitābahu biyameenihi fayaqoolu hāomu iqraoo kitābiyah

    Translation

    So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record!

20. 20 Al-Haaqqa 69:20

    اِنّٖي ظَنَنْتُ اَنّٖي مُلَاقٍ حِسَابِيَهْۚ

    Transliteration

    Innee thanantu annee mulāqin ḥisābiyah

    Translation

    Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account."

21. 21 Al-Haaqqa 69:21

    فَهُوَ فٖي عٖيشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍۙ

    Transliteration

    Fahuwa fee ʿeeshatin rāḏiyatin

    Translation

    So he will be in a pleasant life -

22. 22 Al-Haaqqa 69:22

    فٖي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۙ

    Transliteration

    Fee jannatin ʿāliyatin

    Translation

    In an elevated garden,

23. 23 Al-Haaqqa 69:23

    قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ

    Transliteration

    Quṭoofuhā dāniyatun

    Translation

    Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near.

24. 24 Al-Haaqqa 69:24

    كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنٖٓيـٔاً بِمَٓا اَسْلَفْتُمْ فِي الْاَيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ

    Transliteration

    Kuloo waishraboo haneean bimā aslaftum fee alayyāmi alkhāliyati

    Translation

    [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past."

25. 25 Al-Haaqqa 69:25

    وَاَمَّا مَنْ اُو۫تِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهٖ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنٖي لَمْ اُو۫تَ كِتَابِيَهْۚ

    Transliteration

    Waammā man ootiya kitābahu bishimālihi fayaqoolu yā laytanee lam oota kitābiyah

    Translation

    But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record

26. 26 Al-Haaqqa 69:26

    وَلَمْ اَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْۚ

    Transliteration

    Walam adri mā ḥisābiyah

    Translation

    And had not known what is my account.

27. 27 Al-Haaqqa 69:27

    يَا لَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَۚ

    Transliteration

    Yā laytahā kānati alqāḏiyatu

    Translation

    I wish my death had been the decisive one.

28. 28 Al-Haaqqa 69:28

    مَٓا اَغْنٰى عَنّٖي مَالِيَهْۚ

    Transliteration

    Mā aghnā ʿannee māliyah

    Translation

    My wealth has not availed me.

29. 29 Al-Haaqqa 69:29

    هَلَكَ عَنّٖي سُلْطَانِيَهْۚ

    Transliteration

    Halaka ʿannee sulṭāniyah

    Translation

    Gone from me is my authority."

30. 30 Al-Haaqqa 69:30

    خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُۙ

    Transliteration

    Khuthoohu faghulloohu

    Translation

    [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him.

31. 31 Al-Haaqqa 69:31

    ثُمَّ الْجَحٖيمَ صَلُّوهُۙ

    Transliteration

    Thumma aljaḥeema ṣalloohu

    Translation

    Then into Hellfire drive him.

32. 32 Al-Haaqqa 69:32

    ثُمَّ فٖي سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعاً فَاسْلُكُوهُؕ

    Transliteration

    Thumma fee silsilatin tharʿuhā sabʿoona thirāʿan faoslukoohu

    Translation

    Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him."

33. 33 Al-Haaqqa 69:33

    اِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ الْعَظٖيمِۙ

    Transliteration

    Innahu kāna lā yuminu biAllāhi alʿatheemi

    Translation

    Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great,

34. 34 Al-Haaqqa 69:34

    وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكٖينِؕ

    Transliteration

    Walā yaḥuḏḏu ʿalā ṭaʿāmi almiskeeni

    Translation

    Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor.

35. 35 Al-Haaqqa 69:35

    فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هٰهُنَا حَمٖيمٌۙ

    Transliteration

    Falaysa lahu alyawma hāhunā ḥameemun

    Translation

    So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend

36. 36 Al-Haaqqa 69:36

    وَلَا طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلٖينٍۙ

    Transliteration

    Walā ṭaʿāmun illā min ghisleenin

    Translation

    Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds;

37. 37 Al-Haaqqa 69:37

    لَا يَأْكُلُهُٓ اِلَّا الْخَاطِؤُ۫نَࣖ

    Transliteration

    Lā yakuluhu illā alkhāṭioona

    Translation

    None will eat it except the sinners.

38. 38 Al-Haaqqa 69:38

    فَلَٓا اُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Falā oqsimu bimā tubṣiroona

    Translation

    So I swear by what you see

39. 39 Al-Haaqqa 69:39

    وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Wamā lā tubṣiroona

    Translation

    And what you do not see

40. 40 Al-Haaqqa 69:40

    اِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرٖيمٍۚ

    Transliteration

    Innahu laqawlu rasoolin kareemin

    Translation

    [That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger.

41. 41 Al-Haaqqa 69:41

    وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍؕ قَلٖيلاً مَا تُـؤْمِنُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Wamā huwa biqawli shāʿirin qaleelan mā tuminoona

    Translation

    And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe.

42. 42 Al-Haaqqa 69:42

    وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍؕ قَلٖيلاً مَا تَذَكَّرُونَؕ

    Transliteration

    Walā biqawli kāhinin qaleelan mā tathakkaroona

    Translation

    Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember.

43. 43 Al-Haaqqa 69:43

    تَنْزٖيلٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Tanzeelun min rabbi alʿālameena

    Translation

    [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

44. 44 Al-Haaqqa 69:44

    وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْاَقَاوٖيلِۙ

    Transliteration

    Walaw taqawwala ʿalaynā baʿḏa alaqāweeli

    Translation

    And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings,

45. 45 Al-Haaqqa 69:45

    لَاَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمٖينِۙ

    Transliteration

    Laakhathnā minhu bialyameeni

    Translation

    We would have seized him by the right hand;

46. 46 Al-Haaqqa 69:46

    ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتٖينَؗ

    Transliteration

    Thumma laqaṭaʿnā minhu alwateena

    Translation

    Then We would have cut from him the aorta.

47. 47 Al-Haaqqa 69:47

    فَمَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ اَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَاجِزٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Famā minkum min aḥadin ʿanhu ḥājizeena

    Translation

    And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him.

48. 48 Al-Haaqqa 69:48

    وَاِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِلْمُتَّقٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Wainnahu latathkiratun lilmuttaqeena

    Translation

    And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous.

49. 49 Al-Haaqqa 69:49

    وَاِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ اَنَّ مِنْكُمْ مُكَذِّبٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Wainnā lanaʿlamu anna minkum mukaththibeena

    Translation

    And indeed, We know that among you are deniers.

50. 50 Al-Haaqqa 69:50

    وَاِنَّهُ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Wainnahu laḥasratun ʿalā alkāfireena

    Translation

    And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.

51. 51 Al-Haaqqa 69:51

    وَاِنَّهُ لَحَقُّ الْيَقٖينِ

    Transliteration

    Wainnahu laḥaqqu alyaqeeni

    Translation

    And indeed, it is the truth of certainty.

52. 52 Al-Haaqqa 69:52

    فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظٖيمِ

    Transliteration

    Fasabbiḥ biismi rabbika alʿatheemi

    Translation

    So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.
