How is the Eid prayer time determined?
The Eid prayer begins once the sunrise kerahat, the short period after sunrise in which no prayer is performed, has ended. The times on this page are calculated for the İşrak time, when the sun is 5° above the horizon. We compared them with the times reported for Diyanet’s 20 March 2026 Eid al-Fitr announcement in all 81 provinces; none differed by more than one minute.
The official announcement is Diyanet’s (the Presidency of Religious Affairs). The time for your district can differ from the province centre by a few minutes; for the congregation time at your mosque, check the mosque’s or the local mufti’s office’s announcement.
