Surah Al-Humaza in Arabic and English

1. 1 Al-Humaza 104:1

   وَيْلٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُمَزَةٍۙ

   Transliteration

   Waylun likulli humazatin lumazatin

   Translation

   Woe to every scorner and mocker

2. 2 Al-Humaza 104:2

   اَلَّذٖى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۙ

   Transliteration

   Allathee jamaʿa mālan waʿaddadahu

   Translation

   Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.

3. 3 Al-Humaza 104:3

   يَحْسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَـهُٓ اَخْلَدَهُۚ

   Transliteration

   Yaḥsabu anna mālahu akhladahu

   Translation

   He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.

4. 4 Al-Humaza 104:4

   كَلَّا لَيُنْبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِؗ

   Transliteration

   Kallā layunbathanna fee alḥuṭamati

   Translation

   No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.

5. 5 Al-Humaza 104:5

   وَمَٓا اَدْرٰيكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُؕ

   Transliteration

   Wamā adrāka mā alḥuṭamatu

   Translation

   And what can make you know what is the Crusher?

6. 6 Al-Humaza 104:6

   نَارُ اللّٰهِ الْمُوقَدَةُۙ

   Transliteration

   Nāru Allāhi almooqadatu

   Translation

   It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled,

7. 7 Al-Humaza 104:7

   اَلَّتٖي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْاَفْـِٔدَةِؕ

   Transliteration

   Allatee taṭṭaliʿu ʿalā alafidati

   Translation

   Which mounts directed at the hearts.

8. 8 Al-Humaza 104:8

   اِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُؤْصَدَةٌۙ

   Transliteration

   lnnahā ʿalayhim muṣadatun

   Translation

   Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them

9. 9 Al-Humaza 104:9

   فٖي عَمَدٍ مُمَدَّدَةٍ

   Transliteration

   Fee ʿamadin mumaddadatin

   Translation
