Surah Al-Maa'un: Arabic, transliteration and translation
Basmala: بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحٖيمِ
-
Al-Maa'un 107:1
اَرَاَيْتَ الَّذٖى يُكَذِّبُ بِالدّٖينِۜ
TransliterationAraayta allathee yukaththibu bialddeeni
TranslationHave you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

Al-Maa'un 107:2
فَذٰلِكَ الَّذٖى يَدُعُّ الْيَتٖيمَۙ
TransliterationFathālika allathee yaduʿʿu alyateema
TranslationFor that is the one who drives away the orphan

Al-Maa'un 107:3
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكٖينِۜ
TransliterationWalā yaḥuḏḏu ʿalā ṭaʿāmi almiskeeni
TranslationAnd does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

Al-Maa'un 107:4
فَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلّٖينَۙ
TransliterationFawaylun lilmuṣalleena
TranslationSo woe to those who pray

Al-Maa'un 107:5
اَلَّذٖينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَۙ
TransliterationAllatheena hum ʿan ṣalātihim sāhoona
Translation[But] who are heedless of their prayer -

Al-Maa'un 107:6
اَلَّذٖينَ هُمْ يُرَٓاؤُ۫نَۙ
TransliterationAllatheena hum yurāoona
TranslationThose who make show [of their deeds]

Al-Maa'un 107:7
وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ
TransliterationWayamnaʿoona almāʿoona
TranslationAnd withhold [simple] assistance.
