Surah Al-Qaari'a: Arabic, transliteration and translation

Basmala: بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحٖيمِ

Al-Qaari'a 101:1

اَلْقَارِعَةُۙ

Transliteration
Alqāriʿatu

Translation
The Striking Calamity -
Al-Qaari'a 101:2

مَا الْقَارِعَةُۚ

Transliteration
Mā alqāriʿatu

Translation
What is the Striking Calamity?
Al-Qaari'a 101:3

وَمَٓا اَدْرٰيكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُۜ

Transliteration
Wamā adrāka mā alqāriʿatu

Translation
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
Al-Qaari'a 101:4

يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِۙ

Transliteration
Yawma yakoonu alnnāsu kaalfarāshi almabthoothi

Translation
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
Al-Qaari'a 101:5

وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوشِۜ

Transliteration
Watakoonu aljibālu kaalʿihni almanfooshi

Translation
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
Al-Qaari'a 101:6

فَاَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازٖينُهُۙ

Transliteration
Faammā man thaqulat mawāzeenuhu

Translation
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
Al-Qaari'a 101:7

فَهُوَ فٖي عٖيشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍؕ

Transliteration
Fahuwa fee ʿeeshatin rāḏiyatin

Translation
He will be in a pleasant life.
Al-Qaari'a 101:8

وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازٖينُهُۙ

Transliteration
Waammā man khaffat mawāzeenuhu

Translation
But as for one whose scales are light,
Al-Qaari'a 101:9

فَاُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌؕ

Transliteration
Faommuhu hāwiyatun

Translation
His refuge will be an abyss.
Al-Qaari'a 101:10

وَمَٓا اَدْرٰيكَ مَا هِيَهْؕ

Transliteration
Wamā adrāka mā hiyah

Translation
And what can make you know what that is?
Al-Qaari'a 101:11

نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ

Transliteration
Nārun ḥāmiyatun

Translation
It is a Fire, intensely hot.
