Surah Ash-Sharh: Arabic, transliteration and translation
Basmala: بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحٖيمِ
-
Ash-Sharh 94:1
اَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَۙ
TransliterationAlam nashraḥ laka ṣadraka
TranslationDid We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast?

Ash-Sharh 94:2
وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَۙ
TransliterationWawaḏaʿnā ʿanka wizraka
TranslationAnd We removed from you your burden

Ash-Sharh 94:3
اَلَّـذٖٓي اَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَۙ
TransliterationAllathee anqaḏa thahraka
TranslationWhich had weighed upon your back

Ash-Sharh 94:4
وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَؕ
TransliterationWarafaʿnā laka thikraka
TranslationAnd raised high for you your repute.

فَاِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًاۙ
TransliterationFainna maʿa alʿusri yusrān
TranslationFor indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

اِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًاۜ
TransliterationInna maʿa alʿusri yusrān
TranslationIndeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

فَاِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْۙ
TransliterationFaithā faraghta fainṣab
TranslationSo when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].

وَاِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ
TransliterationWailā rabbika fairghab
TranslationAnd to your Lord direct [your] longing.
