Surah Ad-Dhuhaa in Arabic and English

1. 1 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:1

   وَالضُّحٰىۙ

   Transliteration

   Waalḏḏuḥā

   Translation

   By the morning brightness

2. 2 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:2

   وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا سَجٰىۙ

   Transliteration

   Waallayli ithā sajā

   Translation

   And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,

3. 3 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:3

   مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلٰىؕ

   Transliteration

   Mā waddaʿaka rabbuka wamā qalā

   Translation

   Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].

4. 4 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:4

   وَلَلْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنَ الْاُو۫لٰىؕ

   Transliteration

   Walalākhiratu khayrun laka mina aloolā

   Translation

   And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

5. 5 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:5

   وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطٖيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَـرْضٰىؕ

   Transliteration

   Walasawfa yuʿṭeeka rabbuka fatarḏā

   Translation

   And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

6. 6 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:6

   اَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتٖيمًا فَاٰوٰىۖ

   Transliteration

   Alam yajidka yateeman faāwā

   Translation

   Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

7. 7 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:7

   وَوَجَدَكَ ضَٓالًّا فَهَدٰىۖ

   Transliteration

   Wawajadaka ḏāllan fahadā

   Translation

   And He found you lost and guided [you],

8. 8 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:8

   وَوَجَدَكَ عَٓائِلًا فَاَغْنٰىۜ

   Transliteration

   Wawajadaka ʿāilan faaghnā

   Translation

   And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

9. 9 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:9

   فَاَمَّا الْيَتٖيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْؕ

   Transliteration

   Faammā alyateema falā taqhar

   Translation

   So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

10. 10 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:10

    وَاَمَّا السَّٓائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْؕ

    Transliteration

    Waammā alssāila falā tanhar

    Translation

    And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].

11. 11 Ad-Dhuhaa 93:11

    وَاَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ

    Transliteration

    Waammā biniʿmati rabbika faḥaddith

    Translation

    But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
