Surah Al-Muminoon in Arabic and English

1. 1 Al-Muminoon 23:1

   قَدْ اَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَۙ

   Transliteration

   Qad aflaḥa almuminoona

   Translation

   Certainly will the believers have succeeded:

2. 2 Al-Muminoon 23:2

   اَلَّذٖينَ هُمْ فٖي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَۙ

   Transliteration

   Allatheena hum fee ṣalātihim khāshiʿoona

   Translation

   They who are during their prayer humbly submissive

3. 3 Al-Muminoon 23:3

   وَالَّذٖينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَۙ

   Transliteration

   Waallatheena hum ʿani allaghwi muʿriḏoona

   Translation

   And they who turn away from ill speech

4. 4 Al-Muminoon 23:4

   وَالَّذٖينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكٰوةِ فَاعِلُونَۙ

   Transliteration

   Waallatheena hum lilzzakāti fāʿiloona

   Translation

   And they who are observant of zakah

5. 5 Al-Muminoon 23:5

   وَالَّذٖينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَۙ

   Transliteration

   Waallatheena hum lifuroojihim ḥāfithoona

   Translation

   And they who guard their private parts

6. 6 Al-Muminoon 23:6

   اِلَّا عَلٰٓى اَزْوَاجِهِمْ اَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُهُمْ فَاِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومٖينَۚ

   Transliteration

   Illā ʿalā azwājihim aw mā malakat aymānuhum fainnahum ghayru maloomeena

   Translation

   Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed -

7. 7 Al-Muminoon 23:7

   فَمَنِ ابْتَغٰى وَرَٓاءَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَۚ

   Transliteration

   Famani ibtaghā warāa thālika faolāika humu alʿādoona

   Translation

   But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors -

8. 8 Al-Muminoon 23:8

   وَالَّذٖينَ هُمْ لِاَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَۙ

   Transliteration

   Waallatheena hum liamānātihim waʿahdihim rāʿoona

   Translation

   And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive

9. 9 Al-Muminoon 23:9

   وَالَّذٖينَ هُمْ عَلٰى صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَۘ

   Transliteration

   Waallatheena hum ʿalā ṣalawātihim yuḥāfithoona

   Translation

   And they who carefully maintain their prayers -

10. 10 Al-Muminoon 23:10

    اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Olāika humu alwārithoona

    Translation

    Those are the inheritors

11. 11 Al-Muminoon 23:11

    اَلَّذٖينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَؕ هُمْ فٖيهَا خَالِدُونَ

    Transliteration

    Allatheena yarithoona alfirdawsa hum feehā khālidoona

    Translation

    Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally.

12. 12 Al-Muminoon 23:12

    وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ سُلَالَةٍ مِنْ طٖينٍۚ

    Transliteration

    Walaqad khalaqnā alinsāna min sulālatin min ṭeenin

    Translation

    And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay.

13. 13 Al-Muminoon 23:13

    ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُطْفَةً فٖي قَرَارٍ مَكٖينٍۖ

    Transliteration

    Thumma jaʿalnāhu nuṭfatan fee qarārin makeenin

    Translation

    Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging.

14. 14 Al-Muminoon 23:14

    ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَاماً فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْماًࣗ ثُمَّ اَنْشَأْنَاهُ خَلْقاً اٰخَرَؕ فَتَبَارَكَ اللّٰهُ اَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقٖينَؕ

    Transliteration

    Thumma khalaqnā alnnuṭfata ʿalaqatan fakhalaqnā alʿalaqata muḏghatan fakhalaqnā almuḏghata ʿithāman fakasawnā alʿithāma laḥman thumma anshanāhu khalqan ākhara fatabāraka Allāhu aḥsanu alkhāliqeena

    Translation

    Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.

15. 15 Al-Muminoon 23:15

    ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَؕ

    Transliteration

    Thumma innakum baʿda thālika lamayyitoona

    Translation

    Then indeed, after that you are to die.

16. 16 Al-Muminoon 23:16

    ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ

    Transliteration

    Thumma innakum yawma alqiyāmati tubʿathoona

    Translation

    Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected.

17. 17 Al-Muminoon 23:17

    وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَٓائِقَࣗ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Walaqad khalaqnā fawqakum sabʿa ṭarāiqa wamā kunnā ʿani alkhalqi ghāfileena

    Translation

    And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware.

18. 18 Al-Muminoon 23:18

    وَاَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ مَٓاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَاَسْكَنَّاهُ فِي الْاَرْضِࣗ وَاِنَّا عَلٰى ذَهَابٍ بِهٖ لَقَادِرُونَۚ

    Transliteration

    Waanzalnā mina alssamāi māan biqadarin faaskannāhu fee alarḏi wainnā ʿalā thahābin bihi laqādiroona

    Translation

    And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away.

19. 19 Al-Muminoon 23:19

    فَاَنْشَأْنَا لَكُمْ بِهٖ جَنَّاتٍ مِنْ نَخٖيلٍ وَاَعْنَابٍۘ لَكُمْ فٖيهَا فَوَاكِهُ۬ كَثٖيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Faanshanā lakum bihi jannātin min nakheelin waaʿnābin lakum feehā fawākihu katheeratun waminhā takuloona

    Translation

    And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat.

20. 20 Al-Muminoon 23:20

    وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ طُورِ سَيْنَٓاءَ تَنْبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِلْاٰكِلٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Washajaratan takhruju min ṭoori saynāa tanbutu bialdduhni waṣibghin lilākileena

    Translation

    And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat.

21. 21 Al-Muminoon 23:21

    وَاِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْاَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةًؕ نُسْقٖيكُمْ مِمَّا فٖي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فٖيهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثٖيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Wainna lakum fee alanʿāmi laʿibratan nusqeekum mimmā fee buṭoonihā walakum feehā manāfiʿu katheeratun waminhā takuloona

    Translation

    And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat.

22. 22 Al-Muminoon 23:22

    وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَࣖ

    Transliteration

    Waʿalayhā waʿalā alfulki tuḥmaloona

    Translation

    And upon them and on ships you are carried.

23. 23 Al-Muminoon 23:23

    وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا نُوحاً اِلٰى قَوْمِهٖ فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهُؕ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

    Transliteration

    Walaqad arsalnā nooḥan ilā qawmihi faqāla yā qawmi oʿbudoo Allāha mā lakum min ilāhin ghayruhu afalā tattaqoona

    Translation

    And We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?"

24. 24 Al-Muminoon 23:24

    فَقَالَ الْمَلَؤُا الَّذٖينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهٖ مَا هٰذَٓا اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْۙ يُرٖيدُ اَنْ يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْؕ وَلَوْ شَٓاءَ اللّٰهُ لَاَنْزَلَ مَلٰٓئِكَةًۚ مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهٰذَا فٖٓي اٰبَٓائِنَا الْاَوَّلٖينَۚ

    Transliteration

    Faqāla almalao allatheena kafaroo min qawmihi mā hāthā illā basharun mithlukum yureedu an yatafaḏḏala ʿalaykum walaw shāa Allāhu laanzala malāikatan mā samiʿnā bihāthā fee ābāinā alawwaleena

    Translation

    But the eminent among those who disbelieved from his people said, "This is not but a man like yourselves who wishes to take precedence over you; and if Allah had willed [to send a messenger], He would have sent down angels. We have not heard of this among our forefathers.

25. 25 Al-Muminoon 23:25

    اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا رَجُلٌ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا بِهٖ حَتّٰى حٖينٍ

    Transliteration

    In huwa illā rajulun bihi jinnatun fatarabbaṣoo bihi ḥattā ḥeenin

    Translation

    He is not but a man possessed with madness, so wait concerning him for a time."

26. 26 Al-Muminoon 23:26

    قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنٖي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ

    Transliteration

    Qāla rabbi onṣurnee bimā kaththabooni

    Translation

    [Noah] said, "My Lord, support me because they have denied me."

27. 27 Al-Muminoon 23:27

    فَاَوْحَيْنَٓا اِلَيْهِ اَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِاَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَاِذَا جَٓاءَ اَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُۙ فَاسْلُكْ فٖيهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَاَهْلَكَ اِلَّا مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْۚ وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنٖي فِي الَّذٖينَ ظَلَمُواۚ اِنَّهُمْ مُغْرَقُونَ

    Transliteration

    Faawḥaynā ilayhi ani iṣnaʿi alfulka biaʿyuninā wawaḥyinā faithā jāa amrunā wafāra alttannooru faosluk feehā min kullin zawjayni ithnayni waahlaka illā man sabaqa ʿalayhi alqawlu minhum walā tukhāṭibnee fee allatheena thalamoo innahum mughraqoona

    Translation

    So We inspired to him, "Construct the ship under Our observation, and Our inspiration, and when Our command comes and the oven overflows, put into the ship from each [creature] two mates and your family, except those for whom the decree [of destruction] has proceeded. And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are to be drowned.

28. 28 Al-Muminoon 23:28

    فَاِذَا اسْتَوَيْتَ اَنْتَ وَمَنْ مَعَكَ عَلَى الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذٖي نَجّٰينَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Faithā istawayta anta waman maʿaka ʿalā alfulki faquli alḥamdu lillāhi allathee najjānā mina alqawmi alththālimeena

    Translation

    And when you have boarded the ship, you and those with you, then say, 'Praise to Allah who has saved us from the wrongdoing people.'

29. 29 Al-Muminoon 23:29

    وَقُلْ رَبِّ اَنْزِلْنٖي مُنْزَلاً مُبَارَكاً وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْزِلٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Waqul rabbi anzilnee munzalan mubārakan waanta khayru almunzileena

    Translation

    And say, 'My Lord, let me land at a blessed landing place, and You are the best to accommodate [us].' "

30. 30 Al-Muminoon 23:30

    اِنَّ فٖي ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَاتٍ وَاِنْ كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Inna fee thālika laāyātin wain kunnā lamubtaleena

    Translation

    Indeed in that are signs, and indeed, We are ever testing [Our servants].

31. 31 Al-Muminoon 23:31

    ثُمَّ اَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْناً اٰخَرٖينَۚ

    Transliteration

    Thumma anshanā min baʿdihim qarnan ākhareena

    Translation

    Then We produced after them a generation of others.

32. 32 Al-Muminoon 23:32

    فَاَرْسَلْنَا فٖيهِمْ رَسُولاً مِنْهُمْ اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهُؕ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَࣖ

    Transliteration

    Faarsalnā feehim rasoolan minhum ani oʿbudoo Allāha mā lakum min ilāhin ghayruhu afalā tattaqoona

    Translation

    And We sent among them a messenger from themselves, [saying], "Worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?"

33. 33 Al-Muminoon 23:33

    وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ الَّذٖينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِقَٓاءِ الْاٰخِرَةِ وَاَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَاۙ مَا هٰذَٓا اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْۙ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ

    Transliteration

    Waqāla almalao min qawmihi allatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biliqāi alākhirati waatrafnāhum fee alḥayāti alddunyā mā hāthā illā basharun mithlukum yakulu mimmā takuloona minhu wayashrabu mimmā tashraboona

    Translation

    And the eminent among his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We had given them luxury in the worldly life said, "This is not but a man like yourselves. He eats of that from which you eat and drinks of what you drink.

34. 34 Al-Muminoon 23:34

    وَلَئِنْ اَطَعْتُمْ بَشَراً مِثْلَكُمْ اِنَّكُمْ اِذاً لَخَاسِرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Walain aṭaʿtum basharan mithlakum innakum ithan lakhāsiroona

    Translation

    And if you should obey a man like yourselves, indeed, you would then be losers.

35. 35 Al-Muminoon 23:35

    اَيَعِدُكُمْ اَنَّكُمْ اِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنْتُمْ تُرَاباً وَعِظَاماً اَنَّكُمْ مُخْرَجُونَۖ

    Transliteration

    Ayaʿidukum annakum ithā mittum wakuntum turāban waʿithāman annakum mukhrajoona

    Translation

    Does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be brought forth [once more]?

36. 36 Al-Muminoon 23:36

    هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوعَدُونَۖ

    Transliteration

    Hayhāta hayhāta limā tooʿadoona

    Translation

    How far, how far, is that which you are promised.

37. 37 Al-Muminoon 23:37

    اِنْ هِيَ اِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثٖينَۖ

    Transliteration

    In hiya illā ḥayātunā alddunyā namootu wanaḥyā wamā naḥnu bimabʿootheena

    Translation

    Life is not but our worldly life - we die and live, but we will not be resurrected.

38. 38 Al-Muminoon 23:38

    اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا رَجُلٌۨ افْـتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِباً وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُ بِمُؤْمِنٖينَ

    Transliteration

    In huwa illā rajulun iftarā ʿalā Allāhi kathiban wamā naḥnu lahu bimumineena

    Translation

    He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not believe him."

39. 39 Al-Muminoon 23:39

    قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنٖي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ

    Transliteration

    Qāla rabbi onṣurnee bimā kaththabooni

    Translation

    He said, "My Lord, support me because they have denied me."

40. 40 Al-Muminoon 23:40

    قَالَ عَمَّا قَلٖيلٍ لَيُصْبِحُنَّ نَادِمٖينَۚ

    Transliteration

    Qāla ʿammā qaleelin layuṣbiḥunna nādimeena

    Translation

    [Allah] said, "After a little, they will surely become regretful."

41. 41 Al-Muminoon 23:41

    فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَٓاءًۚ فَبُعْداً لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Faakhathathumu alṣṣayḥatu bialḥaqqi fajaʿalnāhum ghuthāan fabuʿdan lilqawmi alththālimeena

    Translation

    So the shriek seized them in truth, and We made them as [plant] stubble. Then away with the wrongdoing people.

42. 42 Al-Muminoon 23:42

    ثُمَّ اَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُوناً اٰخَرٖينَؕ

    Transliteration

    Thumma anshanā min baʿdihim quroonan ākhareena

    Translation

    Then We produced after them other generations.

43. 43 Al-Muminoon 23:43

    مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ اُمَّةٍ اَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَؕ

    Transliteration

    Mā tasbiqu min ommatin ajalahā wamā yastakhiroona

    Translation

    No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter].

44. 44 Al-Muminoon 23:44

    ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَاؕ كُلَّمَا جَٓاءَ اُمَّةً رَسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ فَاَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضاً وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ اَحَادٖيثَۚ فَبُعْداً لِقَوْمٍ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

    Transliteration

    Thumma arsalnā rusulanā tatrā kulla mā jāa ommatan rasooluhā kaththaboohu faatbaʿnā baʿḏahum baʿḏan wajaʿalnāhum aḥādeetha fabuʿdan liqawmin lā yuminoona

    Translation

    Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation its messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another [to destruction], and We made them narrations. So away with a people who do not believe.

45. 45 Al-Muminoon 23:45

    ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْنَا مُوسٰى وَاَخَاهُ هٰرُونَ بِاٰيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُبٖينٍۙ

    Transliteration

    Thumma arsalnā moosā waakhāhu hāroona biāyātinā wasulṭānin mubeenin

    Translation

    Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority

46. 46 Al-Muminoon 23:46

    اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَا۬ئِهٖ فَاسْتَكْـبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْماً عَالٖينَۚ

    Transliteration

    Ilā firʿawna wamalaihi faistakbaroo wakānoo qawman ʿāleena

    Translation

    To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people.

47. 47 Al-Muminoon 23:47

    فَقَالُٓوا اَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَابِدُونَۚ

    Transliteration

    Faqāloo anuminu libasharayni mithlinā waqawmuhumā lanā ʿābidoona

    Translation

    They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?"

48. 48 Al-Muminoon 23:48

    فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Fakaththaboohumā fakānoo mina almuhlakeena

    Translation

    So they denied them and were of those destroyed.

49. 49 Al-Muminoon 23:49

    وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ

    Transliteration

    Walaqad ātaynā moosā alkitāba laʿallahum yahtadoona

    Translation

    And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture that perhaps they would be guided.

50. 50 Al-Muminoon 23:50

    وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَاُمَّهُٓ اٰيَةً وَاٰوَيْنَاهُمَٓا اِلٰى رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَمَعٖينٍࣖ

    Transliteration

    Wajaʿalnā ibna maryama waommahu āyatan waāwaynāhumā ilā rabwatin thāti qarārin wamaʿeenin

    Translation

    And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and sheltered them within a high ground having level [areas] and flowing water.

51. 51 Al-Muminoon 23:51

    يَٓا اَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحاًؕ اِنّٖي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلٖيمٌؕ

    Transliteration

    Yā ayyuhā alrrusulu kuloo mina alṭṭayyibāti waiʿmaloo ṣāliḥan innee bimā taʿmaloona ʿaleemun

    Translation

    [Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing.

52. 52 Al-Muminoon 23:52

    وَاِنَّ هٰذِهٖٓ اُمَّتُكُمْ اُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَاَنَا۬ رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُونِ

    Transliteration

    Wainna hāthihi ommatukum ommatan wāḥidatan waanā rabbukum faittaqooni

    Translation

    And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me."

53. 53 Al-Muminoon 23:53

    فَـتَقَطَّـعُٓوا اَمْرَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُراًؕ كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ

    Transliteration

    Fataqaṭṭaʿoo amrahum baynahum zuburan kullu ḥizbin bimā ladayhim fariḥoona

    Translation

    But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing.

54. 54 Al-Muminoon 23:54

    فَذَرْهُمْ فٖي غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتّٰى حٖينٍ

    Transliteration

    Fatharhum fee ghamratihim ḥattā ḥeenin

    Translation

    So leave them in their confusion for a time.

55. 55 Al-Muminoon 23:55

    اَيَحْسَبُونَ اَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُمْ بِهٖ مِنْ مَالٍ وَبَنٖينَۙ

    Transliteration

    Ayaḥsaboona annamā numidduhum bihi min mālin wabaneena

    Translation

    Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children

56. 56 Al-Muminoon 23:56

    نُسَارِ عُ لَهُمْ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِؕ بَلْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Nusāriʿu lahum fee alkhayrāti bal lā yashʿuroona

    Translation

    Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive.

57. 57 Al-Muminoon 23:57

    اِنَّ الَّذٖينَ هُمْ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Inna allatheena hum min khashyati rabbihim mushfiqoona

    Translation

    Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord

58. 58 Al-Muminoon 23:58

    وَالَّذٖينَ هُمْ بِاٰيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Waallatheena hum biāyāti rabbihim yuminoona

    Translation

    And they who believe in the signs of their Lord

59. 59 Al-Muminoon 23:59

    وَالَّذٖينَ هُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ لَا يُشْرِكُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Waallatheena hum birabbihim lā yushrikoona

    Translation

    And they who do not associate anything with their Lord

60. 60 Al-Muminoon 23:60

    وَالَّذٖينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَٓا اٰتَوْا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ اَنَّهُمْ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Waallatheena yutoona mā ātaw waquloobuhum wajilatun annahum ilā rabbihim rājiʿoona

    Translation

    And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord -

61. 61 Al-Muminoon 23:61

    اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ

    Transliteration

    Olāika yusāriʿoona fee alkhayrāti wahum lahā sābiqoona

    Translation

    It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein.

62. 62 Al-Muminoon 23:62

    وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْساً اِلَّا وُسْعَهَا وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَابٌ يَنْطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ

    Transliteration

    Walā nukallifu nafsan illā wusʿahā waladaynā kitābun yanṭiqu bialḥaqqi wahum lā yuthlamoona

    Translation

    And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged.

63. 63 Al-Muminoon 23:63

    بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فٖي غَمْرَةٍ مِنْ هٰذَا وَلَهُمْ اَعْمَالٌ مِنْ دُونِ ذٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عَامِلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Bal quloobuhum fee ghamratin min hāthā walahum aʿmālun min dooni thālika hum lahā ʿāmiloona

    Translation

    But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing,

64. 64 Al-Muminoon 23:64

    حَتّٰٓى اِذَٓا اَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفٖيهِمْ بِالْعَذَابِ اِذَا هُمْ يَجْـَٔرُونَؕ

    Transliteration

    Ḥattā ithā akhathnā mutrafeehim bialʿathābi ithā hum yajaroona

    Translation

    Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help.

65. 65 Al-Muminoon 23:65

    لَا تَجْـَٔرُوا الْيَوْمَ اِنَّكُمْ مِنَّا لَا تُنْصَرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Lā tajaroo alyawma innakum minnā lā tunṣaroona

    Translation

    Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped.

66. 66 Al-Muminoon 23:66

    قَدْ كَانَتْ اٰيَاتٖي تُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ عَلٰٓى اَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنْكِصُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Qad kānat āyātee tutlā ʿalaykum fakuntum ʿalā aʿqābikum tankiṣoona

    Translation

    My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels

67. 67 Al-Muminoon 23:67

    مُسْتَكْبِرٖينَ بِهٖࣗ سَامِراً تَهْجُرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Mustakbireena bihi sāmiran tahjuroona

    Translation

    In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil.

68. 68 Al-Muminoon 23:68

    اَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ اَمْ جَٓاءَهُمْ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِ اٰبَٓاءَهُمُ الْاَوَّلٖينَؗ

    Transliteration

    Afalam yaddabbaroo alqawla am jāahum mā lam yati ābāahumu alawwaleena

    Translation

    Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers?

69. 69 Al-Muminoon 23:69

    اَمْ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوا رَسُولَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهُ مُنْكِرُونَؗ

    Transliteration

    Am lam yaʿrifoo rasoolahum fahum lahu munkiroona

    Translation

    Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging?

70. 70 Al-Muminoon 23:70

    اَمْ يَقُولُونَ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌؕ بَلْ جَٓاءَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَاَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ

    Transliteration

    Am yaqooloona bihi jinnatun bal jāahum bialḥaqqi waaktharuhum lilḥaqqi kārihoona

    Translation

    Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse.

71. 71 Al-Muminoon 23:71

    وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ اَهْوَٓاءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمٰوَاتُ وَالْاَرْضُ وَمَنْ فٖيهِنَّؕ بَلْ اَتَيْنَاهُمْ بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِمْ مُعْرِضُونَؕ

    Transliteration

    Walawi ittabaʿa alḥaqqu ahwāahum lafasadati alssamāwātu waalarḏu waman feehinna bal ataynāhum bithikrihim fahum ʿan thikrihim muʿriḏoona

    Translation

    But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away.

72. 72 Al-Muminoon 23:72

    اَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ خَرْجاً فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌࣗ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Am tasaluhum kharjan fakharāju rabbika khayrun wahuwa khayru alrrāziqeena

    Translation

    Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers.

73. 73 Al-Muminoon 23:73

    وَاِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوهُمْ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقٖيمٍ

    Transliteration

    Wainnaka latadʿoohum ilā ṣirāṭin mustaqeemin

    Translation

    And indeed, you invite them to a straight path.

74. 74 Al-Muminoon 23:74

    وَاِنَّ الَّذٖينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنَاكِبُونَ

    Transliteration

    Wainna allatheena lā yuminoona bialākhirati ʿani alṣṣirāṭi lanākiboona

    Translation

    But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path.

75. 75 Al-Muminoon 23:75

    وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِمْ مِنْ ضُرٍّ لَلَجُّوا فٖي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

    Transliteration

    Walaw raḥimnāhum wakashafnā mā bihim min ḏurrin lalajjoo fee ṭughyānihim yaʿmahoona

    Translation

    And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.

76. 76 Al-Muminoon 23:76

    وَلَقَدْ اَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ

    Transliteration

    Walaqad akhathnāhum bialʿathābi famā istakānoo lirabbihim wamā yataḏarraʿoona

    Translation

    And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus]

77. 77 Al-Muminoon 23:77

    حَتّٰٓى اِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَاباً ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدٖيدٍ اِذَا هُمْ فٖيهِ مُبْلِسُونَࣖ

    Transliteration

    Ḥattā ithā fataḥnā ʿalayhim bāban thā ʿathābin shadeedin ithā hum feehi mublisoona

    Translation

    Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair.

78. 78 Al-Muminoon 23:78

    وَهُوَ الَّـذٖٓي اَنْشَاَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْاَبْصَارَ وَالْاَفْـِٔدَةَؕ قَلٖيلاً مَا تَشْكُرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Wahuwa allathee anshaa lakumu alssamʿa waalabṣāra waalafidata qaleelan mā tashkuroona

    Translation

    And it is He who produced for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.

79. 79 Al-Muminoon 23:79

    وَهُوَ الَّذٖي ذَرَاَكُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَاِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Wahuwa allathee tharaakum fee alarḏi wailayhi tuḥsharoona

    Translation

    And it is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered.

80. 80 Al-Muminoon 23:80

    وَهُوَ الَّذٖي يُحْـيٖ وَيُمٖيتُ وَلَهُ اخْتِلَافُ الَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِؕ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Wahuwa allathee yuḥyee wayumeetu walahu ikhtilāfu allayli waalnnahāri afalā taʿqiloona

    Translation

    And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason?

81. 81 Al-Muminoon 23:81

    بَلْ قَالُوا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْاَوَّلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Bal qāloo mithla mā qāla alawwaloona

    Translation

    Rather, they say like what the former peoples said.

82. 82 Al-Muminoon 23:82

    قَالُٓوا ءَاِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَاباً وَعِظَاماً ءَاِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

    Transliteration

    Qāloo aithā mitnā wakunnā turāban waʿithāman ainnā lamabʿoothoona

    Translation

    They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

83. 83 Al-Muminoon 23:83

    لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَاٰبَٓاؤُ۬نَا هٰذَا مِنْ قَبْلُ اِنْ هٰذَٓا اِلَّٓا اَسَاطٖيرُ الْاَوَّلٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Laqad wuʿidnā naḥnu waābāonā hāthā min qablu in hāthā illā asāṭeeru alawwaleena

    Translation

    We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples."

84. 84 Al-Muminoon 23:84

    قُلْ لِمَنِ الْاَرْضُ وَمَنْ فٖيهَٓا اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

    Transliteration

    Qul limani alarḏu waman feehā in kuntum taʿlamoona

    Translation

    Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?"

85. 85 Al-Muminoon 23:85

    سَيَقُولُونَ لِلّٰهِؕ قُلْ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Sayaqooloona lillāhi qul afalā tathakkaroona

    Translation

    They will say, "To Allah." Say, "Then will you not remember?"

86. 86 Al-Muminoon 23:86

    قُلْ مَنْ رَبُّ السَّمٰوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظٖيمِ

    Transliteration

    Qul man rabbu alssamāwāti alssabʿi warabbu alʿarshi alʿatheemi

    Translation

    Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?"

87. 87 Al-Muminoon 23:87

    سَيَقُولُونَ لِلّٰهِؕ قُلْ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

    Transliteration

    Sayaqooloona lillāhi qul afalā tattaqoona

    Translation

    They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?"

88. 88 Al-Muminoon 23:88

    قُلْ مَنْ بِيَدِهٖ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ يُجٖيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

    Transliteration

    Qul man biyadihi malakootu kulli shayin wahuwa yujeeru walā yujāru ʿalayhi in kuntum taʿlamoona

    Translation

    Say, "In whose hand is the realm of all things - and He protects while none can protect against Him - if you should know?"

89. 89 Al-Muminoon 23:89

    سَيَقُولُونَ لِلّٰهِؕ قُلْ فَاَنّٰى تُسْحَرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Sayaqooloona lillāhi qul faannā tusḥaroona

    Translation

    They will say, "[All belongs] to Allah." Say, "Then how are you deluded?"

90. 90 Al-Muminoon 23:90

    بَلْ اَتَيْنَاهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَاِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ

    Transliteration

    Bal ataynāhum bialḥaqqi wainnahum lakāthiboona

    Translation

    Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed they are liars.

91. 91 Al-Muminoon 23:91

    مَا اتَّخَذَ اللّٰهُ مِنْ وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ اِذاً لَذَهَبَ كُلُّ اِلٰهٍ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلٰى بَعْضٍؕ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Mā ittakhatha Allāhu min waladin wamā kāna maʿahu min ilāhin ithan lathahaba kullu ilāhin bimā khalaqa walaʿalā baʿḏuhum ʿalā baʿḏin subḥāna Allāhi ʿammā yaṣifoona

    Translation

    Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him].

92. 92 Al-Muminoon 23:92

    عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعَالٰى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَࣖ

    Transliteration

    ʿālimi alghaybi waalshshahādati fataʿālā ʿammā yushrikoona

    Translation

    [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him].

93. 93 Al-Muminoon 23:93

    قُلْ رَبِّ اِمَّا تُرِيَنّٖي مَا يُوعَدُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Qul rabbi immā turiyannee mā yooʿadoona

    Translation

    Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised,

94. 94 Al-Muminoon 23:94

    رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنٖي فِي الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Rabbi falā tajʿalnee fee alqawmi alththālimeena

    Translation

    My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people."

95. 95 Al-Muminoon 23:95

    وَاِنَّا عَلٰٓى اَنْ نُرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَادِرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Wainnā ʿalā an nuriyaka mā naʿiduhum laqādiroona

    Translation

    And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them.

96. 96 Al-Muminoon 23:96

    اِدْفَعْ بِالَّتٖي هِيَ اَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَؕ نَحْنُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ

    Transliteration

    Idfaʿ biallatee hiya aḥsanu alssayyiata naḥnu aʿlamu bimā yaṣifoona

    Translation

    Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe.

97. 97 Al-Muminoon 23:97

    وَقُلْ رَبِّ اَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطٖينِۙ

    Transliteration

    Waqul rabbi aʿoothu bika min hamazāti alshshayāṭeeni

    Translation

    And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils,

98. 98 Al-Muminoon 23:98

    وَاَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ اَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ

    Transliteration

    Waaʿoothu bika rabbi an yaḥḏurooni

    Translation

    And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me."

99. 99 Al-Muminoon 23:99

    حَتّٰٓى اِذَا جَٓاءَ اَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِۙ

    Transliteration

    Ḥattā ithā jāa aḥadahumu almawtu qāla rabbi irjiʿooni

    Translation

    [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back

100. 100 Al-Muminoon 23:100

     لَعَلّٖٓي اَعْمَلُ صَالِحاً فٖيمَا تَرَكْتُ كَلَّاؕ اِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَٓائِلُهَاؕ وَمِنْ وَرَٓائِهِمْ بَرْزَخٌ اِلٰى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ

     Transliteration

     Laʿallee aʿmalu ṣāliḥan feemā taraktu kallā innahā kalimatun huwa qāiluhā wamin warāihim barzakhun ilā yawmi yubʿathoona

     Translation

     That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected.

101. 101 Al-Muminoon 23:101

     فَاِذَا نُفِـخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَلَٓا اَنْسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلَا يَتَسَٓاءَلُونَ

     Transliteration

     Faithā nufikha fee alṣṣoori falā ansāba baynahum yawmaithin walā yatasāaloona

     Translation

     So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another.

102. 102 Al-Muminoon 23:102

     فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازٖينُهُ فَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ

     Transliteration

     Faman thaqulat mawāzeenuhu faolāika humu almufliḥoona

     Translation

     And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful.

103. 103 Al-Muminoon 23:103

     وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازٖينُهُ فَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ الَّذٖينَ خَسِرُٓوا اَنْفُسَهُمْ فٖي جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَۚ

     Transliteration

     Waman khaffat mawāzeenuhu faolāika allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fee jahannama khālidoona

     Translation

     But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally.

104. 104 Al-Muminoon 23:104

     تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ وَهُمْ فٖيهَا كَالِحُونَ

     Transliteration

     Talfaḥu wujoohahumu alnnāru wahum feehā kāliḥoona

     Translation

     The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles.

105. 105 Al-Muminoon 23:105

     اَلَمْ تَكُنْ اٰيَاتٖي تُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ

     Transliteration

     Alam takun āyātee tutlā ʿalaykum fakuntum bihā tukaththiboona

     Translation

     [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?"

106. 106 Al-Muminoon 23:106

     قَالُوا رَبَّـنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْماً ضَٓالّٖينَ

     Transliteration

     Qāloo rabbanā ghalabat ʿalaynā shiqwatunā wakunnā qawman ḏālleena

     Translation

     They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.

107. 107 Al-Muminoon 23:107

     رَبَّـنَٓا اَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَاِنْ عُدْنَا فَاِنَّا ظَالِمُونَ

     Transliteration

     Rabbanā akhrijnā minhā fain ʿudnā fainnā thālimoona

     Translation

     Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers."

108. 108 Al-Muminoon 23:108

     قَالَ اخْسَؤُ۫ا فٖيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ

     Transliteration

     Qāla ikhsaoo feehā walā tukallimooni

     Translation

     He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.

109. 109 Al-Muminoon 23:109

     اِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرٖيقٌ مِنْ عِبَادٖي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّـنَٓا اٰمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمٖينَۚ

     Transliteration

     Innahu kāna fareequn min ʿibādee yaqooloona rabbanā āmannā faighfir lanā wairḥamnā waanta khayru alrrāḥimeena

     Translation

     Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.'

110. 110 Al-Muminoon 23:110

     فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِياًّ حَتّٰٓى اَنْسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرٖي وَكُنْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ

     Transliteration

     Faittakhathtumoohum sikhriyyan ḥattā ansawkum thikree wakuntum minhum taḏḥakoona

     Translation

     But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

111. 111 Al-Muminoon 23:111

     اِنّٖي جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُٓواۙ اَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَٓائِزُونَ

     Transliteration

     Innee jazaytuhumu alyawma bimā ṣabaroo annahum humu alfāizoona

     Translation

     Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]."

112. 112 Al-Muminoon 23:112

     قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنٖينَ

     Transliteration

     Qāla kam labithtum fee alarḏi ʿadada sineena

     Translation

     [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?"

113. 113 Al-Muminoon 23:113

     قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْماً اَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَسْـَٔلِ الْعَٓادّٖينَ

     Transliteration

     Qāloo labithnā yawman aw baʿḏa yawmin faisali alʿāddeena

     Translation

     They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate."

114. 114 Al-Muminoon 23:114

     قَالَ اِنْ لَبِثْتُمْ اِلَّا قَلٖيلاً لَوْ اَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

     Transliteration

     Qāla in labithtum illā qaleelan law annakum kuntum taʿlamoona

     Translation

     He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known.

115. 115 Al-Muminoon 23:115

     اَفَحَسِبْتُمْ اَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثاً وَاَنَّكُمْ اِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ

     Transliteration

     Afaḥasibtum annamā khalaqnākum ʿabathan waannakum ilaynā lā turjaʿoona

     Translation

     Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?"

116. 116 Al-Muminoon 23:116

     فَتَعَالَى اللّٰهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّۚ لَٓا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۚ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرٖيمِ

     Transliteration

     Fataʿālā Allāhu almaliku alḥaqqu lā ilāha illā huwa rabbu alʿarshi alkareemi

     Translation

     So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.

117. 117 Al-Muminoon 23:117

     وَمَنْ يَدْعُ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهاً اٰخَرَۙ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهٖۙ فَاِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهٖؕ اِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ

     Transliteration

     Waman yadʿu maʿa Allāhi ilāhan ākhara lā burhāna lahu bihi fainnamā ḥisābuhu ʿinda rabbihi innahu lā yufliḥu alkāfiroona

     Translation

     And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.

118. 118 Al-Muminoon 23:118

     وَقُلْ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمٖينَ

     Transliteration

     Waqul rabbi ighfir wairḥam waanta khayru alrrāḥimeena

     Translation

     And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."
