Surah Yaseen in Arabic and English

1. 1 Yaseen 36:1

   يٰسٓؕ

   Transliteration

   Yāseen

   Translation

   Ya, Seen.

2. 2 Yaseen 36:2

   وَالْقُرْاٰنِ الْحَكٖيمِۙ

   Transliteration

   Waalqurāni alḥakeemi

   Translation

   By the wise Qur'an.

3. 3 Yaseen 36:3

   اِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلٖينَۙ

   Transliteration

   Innaka lamina almursaleena

   Translation

   Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers,

4. 4 Yaseen 36:4

   عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقٖيمٍؕ

   Transliteration

   ʿalā ṣirāṭin mustaqeemin

   Translation

   On a straight path.

5. 5 Yaseen 36:5

   تَنْزٖيلَ الْعَزٖيزِ الرَّحٖيمِۙ

   Transliteration

   Tanzeela alʿazeezi alrraḥeemi

   Translation

   [This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

6. 6 Yaseen 36:6

   لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْماً مَٓا اُنْذِرَ اٰبَٓاؤُ۬هُمْ فَهُمْ غَافِلُونَ

   Transliteration

   Litunthira qawman mā onthira ābāohum fahum ghāfiloona

   Translation

   That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.

7. 7 Yaseen 36:7

   لَقَدْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلٰٓى اَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

   Transliteration

   Laqad ḥaqqa alqawlu ʿalā aktharihim fahum lā yuminoona

   Translation

   Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe.

8. 8 Yaseen 36:8

   اِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فٖٓي اَعْنَاقِهِمْ اَغْلَالاً فَهِيَ اِلَى الْاَذْقَانِ فَهُمْ مُقْمَحُونَ

   Transliteration

   Innā jaʿalnā fee aʿnāqihim aghlālan fahiya ilā alathqāni fahum muqmaḥoona

   Translation

   Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft.

9. 9 Yaseen 36:9

   وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ بَيْنِ اَيْدٖيهِمْ سَداًّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَداًّ فَاَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ

   Transliteration

   Wajaʿalnā min bayni aydeehim saddan wamin khalfihim saddan faaghshaynāhum fahum lā yubṣiroona

   Translation

   And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.

10. 10 Yaseen 36:10

    وَسَوَٓاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَاَنْذَرْتَهُمْ اَمْ لَمْ تُنْذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

    Transliteration

    Wasawāon ʿalayhim aanthartahum am lam tunthirhum lā yuminoona

    Translation

    And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.

11. 11 Yaseen 36:11

    اِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ وَخَشِيَ الرَّحْمٰنَ بِالْغَيْبِۚ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَاَجْرٍ كَرٖيمٍ

    Transliteration

    Innamā tunthiru mani ittabaʿa alththikra wakhashiya alrraḥmāna bialghaybi fabashshirhu bimaghfiratin waajrin kareemin

    Translation

    You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.

12. 12 Yaseen 36:12

    اِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْـيِ الْمَوْتٰى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَاٰثَارَهُمْؕ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ اَحْصَيْنَاهُ فٖٓي اِمَامٍ مُبٖينٍࣖ

    Transliteration

    Innā naḥnu nuḥyee almawtā wanaktubu mā qaddamoo waāthārahum wakulla shayin aḥṣaynāhu fee imāmin mubeenin

    Translation

    Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register.

13. 13 Yaseen 36:13

    وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَثَلاً اَصْحَابَ الْقَرْيَةِۘ اِذْ جَٓاءَهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَۚ

    Transliteration

    Waiḏrib lahum mathalan aṣḥāba alqaryati ith jāahā almursaloona

    Translation

    And present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it -

14. 14 Yaseen 36:14

    اِذْ اَرْسَلْـنَٓا اِلَيْهِمُ اثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُٓوا اِنَّٓا اِلَيْكُمْ مُرْسَلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Ith arsalnā ilayhimu ithnayni fakaththaboohumā faʿazzaznā bithālithin faqāloo innā ilaykum mursaloona

    Translation

    When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."

15. 15 Yaseen 36:15

    قَالُوا مَٓا اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَاۙ وَمَٓا اَنْزَلَ الرَّحْمٰنُ مِنْ شَيْءٍۙ اِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ

    Transliteration

    Qāloo mā antum illā basharun mithlunā wamā anzala alrraḥmānu min shayin in antum illā takthiboona

    Translation

    They said, "You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed a thing. You are only telling lies."

16. 16 Yaseen 36:16

    قَالُوا رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ اِنَّٓا اِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Qāloo rabbunā yaʿlamu innā ilaykum lamursaloona

    Translation

    They said, "Our Lord knows that we are messengers to you,

17. 17 Yaseen 36:17

    وَمَا عَلَيْنَٓا اِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبٖينُ

    Transliteration

    Wamā ʿalaynā illā albalāghu almubeenu

    Translation

    And we are not responsible except for clear notification."

18. 18 Yaseen 36:18

    قَالُٓوا اِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْۚ لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهُوا لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُمْ مِنَّا عَذَابٌ اَلٖيمٌ

    Transliteration

    Qāloo innā taṭayyarnā bikum lain lam tantahoo lanarjumannakum walayamassannakum minnā ʿathābun aleemun

    Translation

    They said, "Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment."

19. 19 Yaseen 36:19

    قَالُوا طَٓائِرُكُمْ مَعَكُمْؕ اَئِنْ ذُكِّرْتُمْؕ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُسْرِفُونَ

    Transliteration

    Qāloo ṭāirukum maʿakum ain thukkirtum bal antum qawmun musrifoona

    Translation

    They said, "Your omen is with yourselves. Is it because you were reminded? Rather, you are a transgressing people."

20. 20 Yaseen 36:20

    وَجَٓاءَ مِنْ اَقْصَا الْمَدٖينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعٰى قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَلٖينَۙ

    Transliteration

    Wajāa min aqṣā almadeenati rajulun yasʿā qāla yā qawmi ittabiʿoo almursaleena

    Translation

    And there came from the farthest end of the city a man, running. He said, "O my people, follow the messengers.

21. 21 Yaseen 36:21

    اِتَّبِعُوا مَنْ لَا يَسْـَٔلُكُمْ اَجْراً وَهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ

    Transliteration

    Ittabiʿoo man lā yasalukum ajran wahum muhtadoona

    Translation

    Follow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they are [rightly] guided.

22. 22 Yaseen 36:22

    وَمَا لِيَ لَٓا اَعْبُدُ الَّذٖي فَطَرَنٖي وَاِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

    Transliteration

    Wamā liya lā aʿbudu allathee faṭaranee wailayhi turjaʿoona

    Translation

    And why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned?

23. 23 Yaseen 36:23

    ءَاَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِهٖٓ اٰلِهَةً اِنْ يُرِدْنِ الرَّحْمٰنُ بِضُرٍّ لَا تُغْنِ عَنّٖي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْـٔاً وَلَا يُنْقِذُونِۚ

    Transliteration

    Aattakhithu min doonihi ālihatan in yuridni alrraḥmānu biḏurrin lā tughni ʿannee shafāʿatuhum shayan walā yunqithooni

    Translation

    Should I take other than Him [false] deities [while], if the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me?

24. 24 Yaseen 36:24

    اِنّٖٓي اِذاً لَفٖي ضَلَالٍ مُبٖينٍ

    Transliteration

    Innee ithan lafee ḏalālin mubeenin

    Translation

    Indeed, I would then be in manifest error.

25. 25 Yaseen 36:25

    اِنّٖٓي اٰمَنْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِؕ

    Transliteration

    Innee āmantu birabbikum faismaʿooni

    Translation

    Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me."

26. 26 Yaseen 36:26

    قٖيلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَؕ قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ قَوْمٖي يَعْلَمُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Qeela odkhuli aljannata qāla yā layta qawmee yaʿlamoona

    Translation

    It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "I wish my people could know

27. 27 Yaseen 36:27

    بِمَا غَفَرَ لٖي رَبّٖي وَجَعَلَنٖي مِنَ الْمُكْرَمٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Bimā ghafara lee rabbee wajaʿalanee mina almukrameena

    Translation

    Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."

28. 28 Yaseen 36:28

    وَمَٓا اَنْزَلْنَا عَلٰى قَوْمِهٖ مِنْ بَعْدِهٖ مِنْ جُنْدٍ مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنْزِلٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Wamā anzalnā ʿalā qawmihi min baʿdihi min jundin mina alssamāi wamā kunnā munzileena

    Translation

    And We did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the heaven, nor would We have done so.

29. 29 Yaseen 36:29

    اِنْ كَانَتْ اِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَاِذَا هُمْ خَامِدُونَ

    Transliteration

    In kānat illā ṣayḥatan wāḥidatan faithā hum khāmidoona

    Translation

    It was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished.

30. 30 Yaseen 36:30

    يَا حَسْرَةً عَلَى الْعِبَادِۚ مَا يَأْتٖيهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ اِلَّا كَانُوا بِهٖ يَسْتَهْزِؤُ۫نَ

    Transliteration

    Yā ḥasratan ʿalā alʿibādi mā yateehim min rasoolin illā kānoo bihi yastahzioona

    Translation

    How regretful for the servants. There did not come to them any messenger except that they used to ridicule him.

31. 31 Yaseen 36:31

    اَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ اَنَّهُمْ اِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ

    Transliteration

    Alam yaraw kam ahlaknā qablahum mina alqurooni annahum ilayhim lā yarjiʿoona

    Translation

    Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?

32. 32 Yaseen 36:32

    وَاِنْ كُلٌّ لَمَّا جَمٖيعٌ لَدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَࣖ

    Transliteration

    Wain kullun lammā jameeʿun ladaynā muḥḏaroona

    Translation

    And indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.

33. 33 Yaseen 36:33

    وَاٰيَةٌ لَهُمُ الْاَرْضُ الْمَيْتَةُۚ اَحْيَيْنَاهَا وَاَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَباًّ فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Waāyatun lahumu alarḏu almaytatu aḥyaynāhā waakhrajnā minhā ḥabban faminhu yakuloona

    Translation

    And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat.

34. 34 Yaseen 36:34

    وَجَعَلْنَا فٖيهَا جَنَّاتٍ مِنْ نَخٖيلٍ وَاَعْنَابٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فٖيهَا مِنَ الْعُيُونِۙ

    Transliteration

    Wajaʿalnā feehā jannātin min nakheelin waaʿnābin wafajjarnā feehā mina alʿuyooni

    Translation

    And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs -

35. 35 Yaseen 36:35

    لِيَأْكُلُوا مِنْ ثَمَرِهٖۙ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ اَيْدٖيهِمْؕ اَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Liyakuloo min thamarihi wamā ʿamilathu aydeehim afalā yashkuroona

    Translation

    That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful?

36. 36 Yaseen 36:36

    سُبْحَانَ الَّذٖي خَلَقَ الْاَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الْاَرْضُ وَمِنْ اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

    Transliteration

    Subḥāna allathee khalaqa alazwāja kullahā mimmā tunbitu alarḏu wamin anfusihim wamimmā lā yaʿlamoona

    Translation

    Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know.

37. 37 Yaseen 36:37

    وَاٰيَةٌ لَهُمُ الَّيْلُۚ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ النَّهَارَ فَاِذَا هُمْ مُظْلِمُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Waāyatun lahumu allaylu naslakhu minhu alnnahāra faithā hum muthlimoona

    Translation

    And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.

38. 38 Yaseen 36:38

    وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرٖي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَاؕ ذٰلِكَ تَقْدٖيرُ الْعَزٖيزِ الْعَلٖيمِؕ

    Transliteration

    Waalshshamsu tajree limustaqarrin lahā thālika taqdeeru alʿazeezi alʿaleemi

    Translation

    And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

39. 39 Yaseen 36:39

    وَالْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَاهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتّٰى عَادَ كَالْعُرْجُونِ الْقَدٖيمِ

    Transliteration

    Waalqamara qaddarnāhu manāzila ḥattā ʿāda kaalʿurjooni alqadeemi

    Translation

    And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk.

40. 40 Yaseen 36:40

    لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغٖي لَـهَٓا اَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا الَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِؕ وَكُلٌّ فٖي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

    Transliteration

    Lā alshshamsu yanbaghee lahā an tudrika alqamara walā allaylu sābiqu alnnahāri wakullun fee falakin yasbaḥoona

    Translation

    It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.

41. 41 Yaseen 36:41

    وَاٰيَةٌ لَهُمْ اَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِۙ

    Transliteration

    Waāyatun lahum annā ḥamalnā thurriyyatahum fee alfulki almashḥooni

    Translation

    And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship.

42. 42 Yaseen 36:42

    وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُمْ مِنْ مِثْلِهٖ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ

    Transliteration

    Wakhalaqnā lahum min mithlihi mā yarkaboona

    Translation

    And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.

43. 43 Yaseen 36:43

    وَاِنْ نَشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرٖيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنْقَذُونَۙ

    Transliteration

    Wain nasha nughriqhum falā ṣareekha lahum walā hum yunqathoona

    Translation

    And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved

44. 44 Yaseen 36:44

    اِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِنَّا وَمَتَاعاً اِلٰى حٖينٍ

    Transliteration

    Illā raḥmatan minnā wamatāʿan ilā ḥeenin

    Translation

    Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time.

45. 45 Yaseen 36:45

    وَاِذَا قٖيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّقُوا مَا بَيْنَ اَيْدٖيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

    Transliteration

    Waithā qeela lahumu ittaqoo mā bayna aydeekum wamā khalfakum laʿallakum turḥamoona

    Translation

    But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... "

46. 46 Yaseen 36:46

    وَمَا تَأْتٖيهِمْ مِنْ اٰيَةٍ مِنْ اٰيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ اِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Wamā tateehim min āyatin min āyāti rabbihim illā kānoo ʿanhā muʿriḏeena

    Translation

    And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away.

47. 47 Yaseen 36:47

    وَاِذَا قٖيلَ لَهُمْ اَنْفِقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُۙ قَالَ الَّذٖينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذٖينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اَنُطْعِمُ مَنْ لَوْ يَشَٓاءُ اللّٰهُ اَطْعَمَهُࣗ اِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا فٖي ضَلَالٍ مُبٖينٍ

    Transliteration

    Waithā qeela lahum anfiqoo mimmā razaqakumu Allāhu qāla allatheena kafaroo lillatheena āmanoo anuṭʿimu man law yashāo Allāhu aṭʿamahu in antum illā fee ḏalālin mubeenin

    Translation

    And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error."

48. 48 Yaseen 36:48

    وَيَقُولُونَ مَتٰى هٰذَا الْوَعْدُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Wayaqooloona matā hāthā alwaʿdu in kuntum ṣādiqeena

    Translation

    And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"

49. 49 Yaseen 36:49

    مَا يَنْظُرُونَ اِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ

    Transliteration

    Mā yanthuroona illā ṣayḥatan wāḥidatan takhuthuhum wahum yakhiṣṣimoona

    Translation

    They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing.

50. 50 Yaseen 36:50

    فَلَا يَسْتَطٖيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَٓا اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَࣖ

    Transliteration

    Falā yastaṭeeʿoona tawṣiyatan walā ilā ahlihim yarjiʿoona

    Translation

    And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return.

51. 51 Yaseen 36:51

    وَنُفِـخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَاِذَا هُمْ مِنَ الْاَجْدَاثِ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمْ يَنْسِلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Wanufikha fee alṣṣoori faithā hum mina alajdāthi ilā rabbihim yansiloona

    Translation

    And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.

52. 52 Yaseen 36:52

    قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا مَنْ بَعَثَنَا مِنْ مَرْقَدِنَاۘ ࣝهٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَصَدَقَ الْمُرْسَلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Qāloo yā waylanā man baʿathanā min marqadinā hāthā mā waʿada alrraḥmānu waṣadaqa almursaloona

    Translation

    They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."

53. 53 Yaseen 36:53

    اِنْ كَانَتْ اِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَاِذَا هُمْ جَمٖيعٌ لَدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ

    Transliteration

    In kānat illā ṣayḥatan wāḥidatan faithā hum jameeʿun ladaynā muḥḏaroona

    Translation

    It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us.

54. 54 Yaseen 36:54

    فَالْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْـٔاً وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ اِلَّا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Faalyawma lā tuthlamu nafsun shayan walā tujzawna illā mā kuntum taʿmaloona

    Translation

    So today no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.

55. 55 Yaseen 36:55

    اِنَّ اَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ الْيَوْمَ فٖي شُغُلٍ فَاكِهُونَۚ

    Transliteration

    Inna aṣḥāba aljannati alyawma fee shughulin fākihoona

    Translation

    Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation -

56. 56 Yaseen 36:56

    هُمْ وَاَزْوَاجُهُمْ فٖي ظِلَالٍ عَلَى الْاَرَٓائِكِ مُتَّكِؤُ۫نَ

    Transliteration

    Hum waazwājuhum fee thilālin ʿalā alarāiki muttakioona

    Translation

    They and their spouses - in shade, reclining on adorned couches.

57. 57 Yaseen 36:57

    لَهُمْ فٖيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَلَهُمْ مَا يَدَّعُونَۚ

    Transliteration

    Lahum feehā fākihatun walahum mā yaddaʿoona

    Translation

    For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish]

58. 58 Yaseen 36:58

    سَلَامٌ قَوْلاً مِنْ رَبٍّ رَحٖيمٍ

    Transliteration

    Salāmun qawlan min rabbin raḥeemin

    Translation

    [And] "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord.

59. 59 Yaseen 36:59

    وَامْتَازُوا الْيَوْمَ اَيُّهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ

    Transliteration

    Waimtāzoo alyawma ayyuhā almujrimoona

    Translation

    [Then He will say], "But stand apart today, you criminals.

60. 60 Yaseen 36:60

    اَلَمْ اَعْهَدْ اِلَيْكُمْ يَا بَنٖٓي اٰدَمَ اَنْ لَا تَعْبُدُوا الشَّيْطَانَۚ اِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبٖينٌۙ

    Transliteration

    Alam aʿhad ilaykum yā banee ādama an lā taʿbudoo alshshayṭāna innahu lakum ʿaduwwun mubeenun

    Translation

    Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy -

61. 61 Yaseen 36:61

    وَاَنِ اعْبُدُونٖيؕ هٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقٖيمٌ

    Transliteration

    Waani oʿbudoonee hāthā ṣirāṭun mustaqeemun

    Translation

    And that you worship [only] Me? This is a straight path.

62. 62 Yaseen 36:62

    وَلَقَدْ اَضَلَّ مِنْكُمْ جِبِلاًّ كَثٖيراًؕ اَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْقِلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Walaqad aḏalla minkum jibillan katheeran afalam takoonoo taʿqiloona

    Translation

    And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason?

63. 63 Yaseen 36:63

    هٰذِهٖ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتٖي كُنْتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ

    Transliteration

    Hāthihi jahannamu allatee kuntum tooʿadoona

    Translation

    This is the Hellfire which you were promised.

64. 64 Yaseen 36:64

    اِصْلَوْهَا الْيَوْمَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Iṣlawhā alyawma bimā kuntum takfuroona

    Translation

    [Enter to] burn therein today for what you used to deny."

65. 65 Yaseen 36:65

    اَلْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلٰٓى اَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَٓا اَيْدٖيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ اَرْجُلُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ

    Transliteration

    Alyawma nakhtimu ʿalā afwāhihim watukallimunā aydeehim watashhadu arjuluhum bimā kānoo yaksiboona

    Translation

    That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.

66. 66 Yaseen 36:66

    وَلَوْ نَشَٓاءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلٰٓى اَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُوا الصِّرَاطَ فَاَنّٰى يُبْصِرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Walaw nashāo laṭamasnā ʿalā aʿyunihim faistabaqoo alṣṣirāṭa faannā yubṣiroona

    Translation

    And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to [find] the path, and how could they see?

67. 67 Yaseen 36:67

    وَلَوْ نَشَٓاءُ لَمَسَخْنَاهُمْ عَلٰى مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مُضِياًّ وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَࣖ

    Transliteration

    Walaw nashāo lamasakhnāhum ʿalā makānatihim famā istaṭāʿoo muḏiyyan walā yarjiʿoona

    Translation

    And if We willed, We could have deformed them, [paralyzing them] in their places so they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return.

68. 68 Yaseen 36:68

    وَمَنْ نُعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِي الْخَلْقِؕ اَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Waman nuʿammirhu nunakkishu fee alkhalqi afalā yaʿqiloona

    Translation

    And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand?

69. 69 Yaseen 36:69

    وَمَا عَلَّمْنَاهُ الشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنْبَغٖي لَهُؕ اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْاٰنٌ مُبٖينٌۙ

    Transliteration

    Wamā ʿallamnāhu alshshiʿra wamā yanbaghee lahu in huwa illā thikrun waqurānun mubeenun

    Translation

    And We did not give Prophet Muhammad, knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur'an

70. 70 Yaseen 36:70

    لِيُنْذِرَ مَنْ كَانَ حَياًّ وَيَحِقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَى الْكَافِرٖينَ

    Transliteration

    Liyunthira man kāna ḥayyan wayaḥiqqa alqawlu ʿalā alkāfireena

    Translation

    To warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers.

71. 71 Yaseen 36:71

    اَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا اَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُمْ مِمَّا عَمِلَتْ اَيْدٖينَٓا اَنْعَاماً فَهُمْ لَهَا مَالِكُونَ

    Transliteration

    Awalam yaraw annā khalaqnā lahum mimmā ʿamilat aydeenā anʿāman fahum lahā mālikoona

    Translation

    Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners?

72. 72 Yaseen 36:72

    وَذَلَّلْنَاهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ

    Transliteration

    Wathallalnāhā lahum faminhā rakoobuhum waminhā yakuloona

    Translation

    And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat.

73. 73 Yaseen 36:73

    وَلَهُمْ فٖيهَا مَنَافِـعُ وَمَشَارِبُؕ اَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Walahum feehā manāfiʿu wamashāribu afalā yashkuroona

    Translation

    And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful?

74. 74 Yaseen 36:74

    وَاتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ اٰلِهَةً لَعَلَّهُمْ يُنْصَرُونَؕ

    Transliteration

    Waittakhathoo min dooni Allāhi ālihatan laʿallahum yunṣaroona

    Translation

    But they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped.

75. 75 Yaseen 36:75

    لَا يَسْتَطٖيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْۙ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُنْدٌ مُحْضَرُونَ

    Transliteration

    Lā yastaṭeeʿoona naṣrahum wahum lahum jundun muḥḏaroona

    Translation

    They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance.

76. 76 Yaseen 36:76

    فَلَا يَحْزُنْكَ قَوْلُهُمْۘ اِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ

    Transliteration

    Falā yaḥzunka qawluhum innā naʿlamu mā yusirroona wamā yuʿlinoona

    Translation

    So let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, We know what they conceal and what they declare.

77. 77 Yaseen 36:77

    اَوَلَمْ يَرَ الْاِنْسَانُ اَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ فَاِذَا هُوَ خَصٖيمٌ مُبٖينٌ

    Transliteration

    Awalam yarā alinsānu annā khalaqnāhu min nuṭfatin faithā huwa khaṣeemun mubeenun

    Translation

    Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop - then at once he is a clear adversary?

78. 78 Yaseen 36:78

    وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلاً وَنَسِيَ خَلْقَهُؕ قَالَ مَنْ يُحْـيِ الْعِظَامَ وَهِيَ رَمٖيمٌ

    Transliteration

    Waḏaraba lanā mathalan wanasiya khalqahu qāla man yuḥyee alʿithāma wahiya rameemun

    Translation

    And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"

79. 79 Yaseen 36:79

    قُلْ يُحْيٖيهَا الَّـذٖٓي اَنْشَاَهَٓا اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍؕ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلٖيمٌۙ

    Transliteration

    Qul yuḥyeehā allathee anshaahā awwala marratin wahuwa bikulli khalqin ʿaleemun

    Translation

    Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."

80. 80 Yaseen 36:80

    اَلَّذٖي جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الشَّجَرِ الْاَخْضَرِ نَاراً فَاِذَٓا اَنْتُمْ مِنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ

    Transliteration

    Allathee jaʿala lakum mina alshshajari alakhḏari nāran faithā antum minhu tooqidoona

    Translation

    [It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite.

81. 81 Yaseen 36:81

    اَوَلَيْسَ الَّذٖي خَلَقَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلٰٓى اَنْ يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُمْؕ بَلٰى وَهُوَ الْخَلَّاقُ الْعَلٖيمُ

    Transliteration

    Awalaysa allathee khalaqa alssamāwāti waalarḏa biqādirin ʿalā an yakhluqa mithlahum balā wahuwa alkhallāqu alʿaleemu

    Translation

    Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator.

82. 82 Yaseen 36:82

    اِنَّـمَٓا اَمْرُهُٓ اِذَٓا اَرَادَ شَيْـٔاً اَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ

    Transliteration

    Innamā amruhu ithā arāda shayan an yaqoola lahu kun fayakoonu

    Translation

    His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, "Be," and it is.

83. 83 Yaseen 36:83

    فَسُبْحَانَ الَّذٖي بِيَدِهٖ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَاِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

    Transliteration

    Fasubḥāna allathee biyadihi malakootu kulli shayin wailayhi turjaʿoona

    Translation

    So exalted is He in whose hand is the realm of all things, and to Him you will be returned.
